The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in plant operations, production management, and quality control, preferably within the enzyme or chemical manufacturing industry.This role involves strategic oversight of the entire plant from production planning to process optimization ensuring that the facility operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while meeting organizational standards and customer expectations.Key Responsibilities:1. Operations & Production Management:- Oversee end-to-end plant operations including production, maintenance, utilities, and dispatch.- Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet output targets and quality standards.- Optimize plant performance by minimizing downtime and improving production efficiency.- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production guidelines.2. Quality Control & Compliance:- Implement and maintain stringent quality control systems to ensure product consistency and compliance with ISO, FSSAI, and other regulatory standards.- Work closely with QA/QC and R&D teams to address process deviations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.- Monitor environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices and enforce compliance across all plant functions.3. Budgeting & Cost Management:- Prepare, monitor, and manage plant budgets, controlling operational costs and resource utilization.- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.- Support strategic decision-making with accurate production and expense forecasting.4. Leadership & Team Development:- Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality departments.- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.- Evaluate team performance, identify skill gaps, and drive training initiatives.5. Process Optimization & Innovation:- Collaborate with the R&D team to implement process innovations and new enzyme formulations.- Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices and automation initiatives.- Recommend and implement capital investment projects for plant upgrades or expansion.6.
