Position Summary: The Assistant Manager for Labour & Employee Relations is responsible for all welfare and industrial relations initiatives at the Hyderabad facility, working closely with the Labour & Employee Relations Manager. Key responsibilities include managing payroll, HR compliance, employee welfare programs, and ensuring adherence to local laws and company policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll and personnel administration.
  • Handle employee grievances related to salary, wages, leaves, and union matters.
  • Manage group mediclaim and personal insurance.
  • Lead the hiring and selection of hourly and contract employees.
  • Administer local training programs and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Manage canteen, creche, health centers, and employee welfare facilities.
  • Conduct safety and canteen committee meetings, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ensure statutory compliance with labor and factory laws.
  • Manage contract labor and facility management teams.
  • Liaise with government officials for compliance and social security matters.
  • Conduct training on topics like prevention of sexual harassment, safety, and ethics.
  • Coordinate employee welfare activities and CSR initiatives.


  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in Telugu and English.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles and legal regulations.
  • Ability to handle complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Strong project management and goal-setting skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and standard business applications. This position is ideal for someone who can manage multiple responsibilities and foster positive employee relations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
