Role Overview :We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-growing product team in Chennai or Bangalore. This is a high-impact role ideal for individuals who thrive in startup environments, love solving complex problems, and are passionate about building scalable backend systems using modern technologies.You will play a key role in architecting, designing, and developing robust backend services and APIs that power our next-generation products.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.- Architect and implement solutions with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance.- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Elasticsearch.- Build and manage microservices and work within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.- Leverage cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure for deployment, scaling, and performance optimization.- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while following best practices in software engineering.- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentoring.- Apply strong Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) knowledge to build optimized solutions.Key Requirements :- 4 to 8 years of hands-on backend development experience.- 3+ years of strong professional experience in Python development.- Proven expertise in building and maintaining microservices and RESTful APIs.- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases : PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch, etc.- 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.- Strong understanding of DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) with proven problem-solving skills.- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.- Experience in working in agile, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environments-preferably startups or product-based companies.Preferred Qualifications :- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.- Prior experience working in high-growth startups or building scalable SaaS products.- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and automated testing frameworks.
