He will be responsible and accountable for Integrated Network operations of wireline network and services. The focus must be customer Centric approach by ensuring the monitoring of 24x7 network alarms & correlating with the effect on the Wireless and Wireline services allowing prioritization of troubleshooting resources to those alarms with the highest customer impact.

Initiate, support and implement uniform organizational processes for effective FCAPS functionality. He should be the change agent in the processes & team structure to achieve the best customer experience and highest team productivity.

Functional Competencies


Professional Competency:

Incumbent must have a broad operational experience of network and service operations, quality analysis and optimization across wireline transport, IPMPLS, IPSE, Broadband networks, and services. This role will also require:

  • Strong working experience in following domains - IP Data/Transport Networks/OSP infrastructure any other Fixed line Technology
  • Must have a sound knowledge of Telecommunications technology, processes, and fundamentals as well as a good understanding of the emerging technologies- Cloud infrastructure, SDN, SDWAN and other Enterprise products and services
  • Good knowledge of Network Operation processes & their implementation, Sound Knowledge of converged networks and OSS systems.
  • Certifications: ITIL / Project Management related certifications will be an added advantage
  • Human Competence:Strong leadership capabilities and be able to motivate and lead teams
  • Should be creative, innovative and an achiever with positive attitude
  • Ability to adapt to changes and working in demanding environment
  • Business Competence:Customer Orientation: Knowledge about internal as well as external customers, and awareness of their situation and needs.
  • Business Orientation: Business and financial awareness to ensure understanding of the implications that various courses of action will have on costs and revenues.
  • Sense of urgency with quality as a key deliverable.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Ensuring the operational and financial performance of 24X7 integrated wireline NOC operations covering FCAPS functions ensuring network/ services are continuously available and delivered according to agreed SLA, OLA.
  2. Expedite recovery of critical and catastrophic incidents, to develop proper RCA/RCF reports and update to all stakeholders.
  3. Steer critical outage, Incident Management, and governance meetings with OEMs.
  4. Key success factor for the role to be hyper automation drive across all the domains

Working closely with Field Operations (FO) and NPE functions

  1. Ensure Network Security and regulatory Compliance as per the policies and targets
  2. TT/ WO Performance Management tracking & Reporting at L1, L2 and TAC levels
  3. To contribute and drive continuous improvement programs
  4. To ensure right competence is always available in Network Operations and ensures to implement Competence Development programs.
  5. To predict Manpower requirements, conduct Interviews and ensure Operations is adequately staffed all the time.
  6. Adapt to new technologies, build competence in new technologies.
