Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Inspector to ensure that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, identifying defects, maintaining documentation, and working closely with the production team to maintain high levels of quality control. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of inspection techniques, quality assurance standards, and reporting methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
Identify and document non-conformities, deviations, and defects, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain accurate inspection reports, records, and quality documentation as per company standards.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
Ensure adherence to ISO, ASME, or other relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct final product audits before dispatch to ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality.
Provide feedback to management regarding recurring quality issues and suggest process improvements.
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline.
1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance in a manufacturing or production environment.
Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and standard inspection procedures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Proficient in using measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Knowledge of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and defect classification.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software (if applicable).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
