This role will support complex commercial transactions across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on both buy-side and sell-side engagements. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in global outsourcing, IT services, professional services, or payroll-related transactions, and demonstrate a strong commitment to data privacy, including GDPR compliance, and ethical business practices.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, licensing agreements, outsourcing deals, and strategic partnerships. - Provide strategic legal advice on commercial transactions, ensuring alignment with Strada’s Code of Conduct and global compliance standards. - Support procurement and sales teams on deal structuring and contract execution. - Collaborate with global legal and compliance teams to ensure consistency and adherence to regulatory requirements. - Advise on data privacy and protection matters, including GDPR, cross-border data transfers, and privacy-related contractual obligations. - Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting commercial operations in India and globally. - Promote ethical decision-making and risk mitigation in all legal engagements.Qualifications:- Law degree from a recognized Indian university (or Juris Doctorate from accredited US Law school or equivalent); LLM or international legal education is a plus. - Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law, preferably in a multinational corporate or law firm setting. - Demonstrated experience handling both buy-side and sell-side transactions. - Strong background in IT, outsourcing, professional services, or payroll-related legal matters. - Solid understanding of global data privacy laws, including GDPR, and experience incorporating privacy considerations into commercial contracts. - Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones and cultures.Preferred Attributes:- Experience working with global teams and clients. - Familiarity with intellectual property issues in commercial contexts. - Business-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with Strada’s Code of Conduct.At Strada, our values guide everything we do:- Anticipate Customer Needs – We stay ahead of trends so our customers can grow and succeed. - Own the Outcome – We take responsibility for delivering excellence and ensuring things get done right. - Challenge Ourselves to Work Smarter – We move faster than the world around us to drive change and accomplish more. - Empower Each Other to Solve Problems – We tackle challenges head on, ask tough questions, and collaborate to find the best solutions. - Care About Our Work – We understand that what we do impacts millions, and we have a responsibility to get it right.BenefitsAt Strada, we support your whole self—offering a range of benefits for your health, wellbeing, finances, and future.
