Their mission is to enable smarter, more sustainable communities by providing intuitive software trusted by over 12,000 organizations worldwide.About the roleThe Senior BI Engineer will design and develop Business Intelligence solutions that empower internal teams with actionable insights. This role involves working closely with U.S.-based stakeholders, contributing to the company’s migration toward a modern Python-based analytics stack, and driving new reporting capabilities across multiple product lines. The engineer will blend technical development, data visualization, and strategic analysis to support data-driven decision-making across the business.ResponsibilitiesBuild, deploy, and maintain robust Business Intelligence solutions, including dashboards and custom reports.Develop insightful and user-friendly dashboards and visualizations using BI tools, primarily Apache Superset.Perform deep-dive analysis to answer complex business questions and translate business needs into technical requirements.Write and optimize complex SQL queries against the Snowflake data warehouse.Collaborate closely with U.S.-based team members to communicate technical solutions and project updates.Operate independently, taking high-level direction and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision.Must have skillsStrong proficiency in Python for data processing, transformation, and analysis (Pandas, NumPy).Expertise in writing complex SQL queries.Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.Proven experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Apache Superset, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.Experience working in agile, distributed international teams.Nice to have skillsDirect hands-on experience building production dashboards in Apache Superset.Familiarity with Python libraries for reporting or app development (ReportLab, Streamlit).Hands-on experience with AWS.Experience with Looker Studio, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.Conditions100% remote role, with a 5-hour overlap required with EST (9 am – 2 pm EST).Contractor role – 6-month contract, automatically renewable.Full-time dedication (40 hours/week).Laptop provided by Andela.At Andela, we know our strengths lie in our diverse community whose talents, perspectives, backgrounds and orientations we take pride in.
