Job Summary :

We're hiring a talented DevOps Engineer to join us. You will define, build, deploy, and evolve automation and infrastructure for supporting our development and production environments in the cloud.

Our ideal candidate has this skillset :

- 0-3 years in a DevOps Engineering role with hands-on coding focus

- 0-3 years experience with a Cloud Infrastructure provider like AWS, Azure, GCP.

- Recent experience with continuous integration systems - Jenkins, Salt Stack, Ansible, etc.

- Experience with integrations across CI, SCM on the cloud.

- Demonstrated knowledge of most of the following: monitoring, alerts, logging, build/deploy, service discovery, load detection, scaling, self-healing, auto-testing, big data tools, cloud security.

- Experience developing and deploying best practices, driving change from within.

- Like to relentlessly automate everything and anything at scale

- Spend time trying to figure out how something works, not stopping with just knowing

What it does :

- Want to make real web applications and back-end systems faster, more reliable, more efficient;

- Think outside the box to build systems that collect, instrument, analyse data and provide insights about the system

- Degree in CS or related required.

Responsibilities :

- Work alongside extremely accomplished Engineers on a truly hard problem: scaling a distributed, multi-tenant, high performance compute system.

- Write software, from build system automation to automated deployment, to scale our engineering delivery.

- Bring in Continuous deployment practices to enhance our Agile posture.

- Participate in the design and implementation of new system layers utilizing a first- principles understanding of high complexity compute environments.

- Participate in a shared on-call rotation.

- Imagine, architect, develop, deploy, and evolve CI and CD systems for the next disruptive data analytics platform in the cloud.

- As your starter project build a CI/CD pipeline that takes incoming checkins through a testing pipeline generating deployment artifacts which are pushed to a Vagrant image (for light weight desktop use) as well as AWS (for QA automation)

Our ideal DevOps Engineer will have :

- Extremely strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- You are willing to "carry the pager" but strive to build a system reliable enough that you don't get paged.

- Strong programming skills (terraform / IaaC/ Python / Shell scripting ). Must have CS fundamentals

- Prior experience working alongside an Engineering team developing and supporting a complicated technical product.

- Fundamental understanding of -NIX systems.

- Prior experience with a Cloud infrastructure service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Prior experience working with Git / AWS CodeCommit, SVN, and Atlassian JIRA.

- Prior experience with container technologies like Docker and resource managers like Kubernetes / Mesosphere Marathon.

Bonus Points for :

- Experience with Advertising platforms

- Experience with mobile applications

- Experience in working in SaaS company
