We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / Test Strategist to join our product development team. This role is crucial for ensuring the high quality and reliability of our SaaS platform through expert test strategy formulation, execution, and deep system understanding. You will be instrumental in defining testing methodologies, collaborating across development teams, and championing the user experience. Key Responsibilities : Test Strategy Formulation : - Lead the definition of comprehensive test strategies, including : Decomposing complex business and technical requirements into thorough test case scenarios. - Defining critical test data requirements and managing the efficient creation of test cases. - Devising contingency plans and other essential preparation activities for release readiness. Cross-Functional Collaboration : - Work closely and cross-functionally to collaborate effectively with designers and developers to ensure quality is built into the product from the early stages of the development lifecycle. Continuous Improvement : - Contribute to the overall enhancement of testing processes, tools, and best practices within the team. Quality Advocacy : - Uphold a strong understanding of performance, efficiency, and quality, maintaining a strong customer focus and demonstrating empathy towards users to appreciate and safeguard the overall user experience. Required Qualifications : - Education : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology or an equivalent technical degree. - System Understanding : Proven experience in the Testing of any SaaS products with a clear understanding of architecture and design across all systems involved. - Microservices Testing : Significant testing experience with Micro-services hosted platforms. - Process Tools : Proficiency and understanding with Test Cycle Management tools like JIRA or relevant equivalents. - Development Tools Exposure : Exposure to various development and testing tools, including Git/Jenkins/Bitbucket, as well as cloud concepts related to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. - Certification : ISTQB certification is a big plus (Foundation Level or Advanced Level). - Database Experience : Experience in any of the following databases : MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
