Overview:

UAP is searching for a skilled and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in attracting and recruiting top talent to support our international student recruitment efforts in the higher education sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding our team and ensuring we have the right people to achieve our goals of global outreach and student engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions within UAP.
  2. Candidate Sourcing: Utilise various channels such as job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals to source and attract top talent.
  3. Screening and Selection: Conduct thorough screening of resumes and applications, perform initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers.
  4. Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding, by providing timely communication and support.
  5. Employer Branding: Contribute to building and promoting UAP's employer brand to attract and retain top talent in the competitive job market.
  6. Recruitment Metrics: Track and analyse recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Collaborative Partnerships: Work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and define recruitment criteria.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations in the recruitment process.
  9. Headhunting: Employ proactive headhunting techniques to identify, approach, and engage passive candidates who possess the skills and experience required for key positions within UAP.


Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Application Management: Take charge of the entire application process for potential students, from submitting applications to verifying documents and tracking their status. This ensures that applying to our program is smooth and easy for students.
  2. Application Processing: Handle the processing of student applications, including entering data, organising files, and updating application statuses. This keeps our records accurate and up to date at every step of the application process.
  3. Application Coordination: Organise and schedule interviews, assessments, and other evaluations needed for the admissions process. This ensures that everything runs smoothly and that applicants and our team stay well-informed throughout the process.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in recruitment or talent acquisition are preferred.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing and attracting top talent, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong expertise in headhunting methodologies and techniques, with a demonstrated track record of successfully identifying and engaging passive candidates for key positions.
  • Excellent knowledge of recruitment strategies, best practices, and industry trends, with the ability to develop and execute innovative recruitment campaigns to meet staffing needs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of recruitment metrics and analytics, with the ability to track, analyse, and interpret recruitment data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment tools and platforms, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), social media platforms, job boards, and other sourcing channels to source and attract candidates.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving and a drive to achieve recruitment targets and objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to accommodate candidate availability and interview schedules.
