About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 05 THE ROLE S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking candidates for our Apprenticeship program within our Commercial New Business team. This program offers a 12-months skill development in New Business Management team for Lead generation & qualification activities. The Apprentice will focus on Supporting the New business Team with lead generation cleanup & ensuring all leads, opportunities, activities, contacts, customer analysis, buying cycle status are accurately and promptly captured. THE TEAM The team is composed of experienced sales professionals. The business has a casual and friendly atmosphere with an entrepreneurial spirit. We value teamwork and it is crucial that you are a team player in order to be successful within our organization. RESPONSIBILITIES
• To support the New Business Team with lead generation cleanup.
•Actively work on leads and qualify or reject them basis on interaction with prospects & drive a healthy pipeline funnel that is characterized by strong velocity and volume
• Research for related customer/market intelligence
• Geographic Whitespace analysis Reporting
• Monthly activity reporting with feedback on leads
• Ensures all leads, opportunities, activities, contacts, customer analysis, buying cycle status are accurately and promptly captured.
• Continuous learning to maintain a high level of relevant domain/product knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with customers and prospects What we are looking For
•Bachelor's or Masters Degree with 0-2 years of experience in new business development,
•Broad understanding of the energy & commodity industry including understanding the personas of front, mid and back office functions, as well as analysts is preferred
•Strong Critical thinking, research and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation (verbal/ written) skills in English
