Job Title : MIS Analyst

Department : Global People and Culture

Location : Mohali

Experience Required : 5 to 8 years

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled MIS Analyst with deep expertise in Advanced Excel (including Macros and VBA), data visualization, and business analytics.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights through automated dashboards, data wrangling, and modelling techniques.

Knowledge of AI tools and their practical application in improving reporting efficiency and business intelligence is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and automate complex dashboards using Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, VBA Macros) and other visualization tools.

- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated MIS reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.

- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven insights and decision-support tools.

- Perform data wrangling and transformation using Power Query, advanced formulas, and scripting where needed.

- Build and maintain data models to support analytical solutions and dashboards.

- Conduct in-depth business and data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.

- Integrate AI-powered tools or platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Power Automate, Copilot, etc.) to enhance reporting and process automation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-impact analytical solutions.

- Conduct training sessions or workshops on advanced Excel, dashboarding, and analytical techniques when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Education : Graduate/Postgraduate in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, or a related field.

Experience : 5+ years in MIS/Data Analytics roles with proven Level 3 capabilities.

Technical Skills :

Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including :

- Advanced formulas and functions

- Power Query and Power Pivot

- VBA/Macros automation

Strong hands-on experience in building interactive dashboards and reports.

Proficiency in data wrangling and data cleansing techniques.

Solid understanding of data modelling, DAX (if working with Power BI), and relational databases.

Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into insights.

Exposure to or working knowledge of AI tools such as :

- Microsoft Copilot

- ChatGPT for Excel/analytics tasks

- Power Automate or Zapier for workflow automation

Soft Skills :

- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills using data.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred (Nice to Have) :

- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.

- Familiarity with SQL or Python for data analysis.

- Certification in Advanced Excel, Data Analytics, or AI/ML tools.
