As part of the AOSP based automotive HMI team, you will be responsible for developing and integrating HMI layers for rich interactive and responsive in car use experiences.Key Responsibilities- Desing and implement HMI layers and features on Android Automotive/AOSP. - Develop and customize Android applications, services and components. - Work with the design team to provide suggestions or changes. - Interface with middle ware and HAL components for vehicle data. - Optimize performance, memory usage and boot time for HMI applications. - Debug and resolve issues related to the implemented and yet to implement HMI apps. - Collaborate with cross functional teams including platform, QA, design and customer.Required skills- Strong development experience in Android Framework, AOSP and Android SDK. - Proficient in Java and Kotlin. - Experience with HMI architecture in automotive IVI projects. - Knowledge on Android application lifecycle, services, broadcast and content providers. - Experience with Git and Android Soong & Gradle build system. - Understanding of Vehicle HAL (VHAL) in Android Automotive. - Knowledge on CAN/LIN - Familiarity with performance profile tools, logcat, ADB and system debugging tools.Soft skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and collaboration stills, with the cross functional teams. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced evolving environment.Education- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science, electronics or related engineering discipline.
