Job Description:

Styleverse Lifestyle Private Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced Commercial Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and commercial operations within our apparel company, which operates an ecommerce business and its own Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) website. The ideal candidate will have a background in the ecommerce industry, preferably having worked with a company that operates its own platform.

Roles and Responsibility:

Financial Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile sales transactions from the D2C website and other relevant channels.
  • Analyse and reconcile sales data, including pricing, discounts, returns, and refunds, to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Monitor payment realizations from various platforms, reconcile receipts with sales invoices, and investigate any discrepancies or delays in payments.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial statements by cross-referencing internal records with external data sources.

Commercial Operations:

  • Monitor and reconcile sales data, return data and payment as well as refunds.
  • Work closely with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely reconciliation.
  • Prepare order-wise reconciliation reports, highlighting variances and discrepancies, and provide recommendations for resolution and process improvement.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between sales data from e-commerce platform and internal records, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular reconciliation reports to management.
  • Identify and investigate any inconsistencies or irregularities in financial and commercial data.

Ecommerce Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the ecommerce team to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Ensure that all ecommerce transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of ecommerce strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

 

 

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reconciliations and financial transactions.
  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reconciliation, preferably in the ecommerce industry.
  • Experience working with companies that operate their own ecommerce platforms is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excel knowledge with Macros and query running skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the apparel industry and D2C business model is a plus.
