NPD Manager Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Product Development (NPD) Manager to lead our product innovation initiatives.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept through launch, and possess excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the end-to-end new product development process, including ideation, design, testing, and launch.- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and successful product introductions.- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs.- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for NPD projects.- Manage cross-functional teams and external partners/vendors to meet project objectives.- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal protocols.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in product development processes.- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in product development, preferably in [industry-specific, e.g., FMCG, electronics, automotive, etc.]- Strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.- Proficiency with product lifecycle management tools and project management software.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (ref:iimjobs.com)
