Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, preparing financial reports, and managing budgets. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to streamline accounting processes and support decision-making with accurate financial data.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Accounting

  • Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with accounting standards.


Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Manage vendor and client invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile AR/AP ledgers and resolve discrepancies promptly.


Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, highlighting variances and providing actionable insights.
  • Support the preparation of financial forecasts and models.


Taxation and Compliance

  • Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other tax returns on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and provide support during audits.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in preparing P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.


Audit Support

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to audit queries.


Team Collaboration

  • Supervise junior accountants and assist with their training and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Education: CA/CMA or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, and TDS regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, SAP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial tools.
