Position Overview :

As a Java Backend Developer with 1-3 years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and applications using Java and Spring technologies.

You will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and high-performance solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java development, familiarity with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks, and a keen interest in technical topics with a proactive attitude towards learning.

Key Responsibilities :

Java and Spring Development :

- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java programming language and Spring framework.

- Utilize Spring Boot to rapidly develop and deploy microservices-based applications.

Cloud Platform Experience :

- Experience with Cloud Foundry for deploying and managing cloud-native applications.

- Deploy and operate applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) :

- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

- Ensure code quality and reliability through automated testing and deployment practices.

Database Management :

- Experience with SQL databases and relational database management systems (RDBMS).

- Knowledge of SAP HANA database is advantageous.

Backup, Restore, and Disaster Recovery :

- Implement backup and restore procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

- Develop disaster recovery plans and strategies to minimize downtime in case of system failures.

Cloud Application Operations :

- Operate cloud applications and distributed systems, ensuring availability, performance, and scalability.

- Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Monitoring and Logging :

- Experience with monitoring tools for cloud applications and distributed systems.

- Familiarity with Dynatrace for application performance monitoring is advantageous.

- Utilize logging tools such as Elasticsearch and Kibana for log management and analysis.

Key Skills :

- Strong Java development skills with a good understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

- Familiarity with Python development is a plus.

- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks for building backend applications.

- Knowledge of Cloud Foundry and experience with cloud-native application development.

- Interest in technical topics with a proactive attitude towards learning and gaining new knowledge.

- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git/GitHub.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.

- Familiarity with SQL databases and RDBMS, with knowledge of SAP HANA as an advantage.

- Understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.

- Ability to operate and monitor cloud applications and distributed systems.

- Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and logging tools such as Elasticsearch and Kibana.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 1-3 years of relevant experience in Java backend development.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in backend development.
