Manager - Human Payroll Processing:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of payroll processing on a monthly basis, as well as off-cycle payroll runs for specific requirements.
- This includes data collection, validation, processing, and disbursement.
Data Collection and Reconciliation:
- Accurately collect, meticulously verify, and reconcile employee-related data essential for payroll processing, including attendance records, leave applications, and timesheet submissions.
Salary Component Processing:
- Process all employee salary components with precision, including regular salary, performance-based incentives, expense reimbursements, and various statutory and voluntary deductions (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax, loan repayments).
Statutory Compliance Management:
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable labor laws, income tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements related to payroll, including accurate calculation and timely processing of PF, ESI, TDS, and Professional Tax.
Payroll Reporting and Disbursement Coordination:
- Generate comprehensive and accurate payroll reports for review and approval.
- Coordinate closely with the Finance department to facilitate the timely and accurate disbursement of salaries to employee bank accounts.
Payroll Record Maintenance and Query Resolution:
- Maintain organized and confidential payroll records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll-related queries, providing prompt, accurate, and professional responses.
Statutory Returns and Challan Submission:
- Ensure the timely preparation and accurate filing of all statutory payroll returns (e.g., PF, ESI, TDS) and the timely submission of corresponding challans within the stipulated deadlines.
HR Coordination for Employee Lifecycle Events:
- Collaborate effectively with the Human Resources department to ensure seamless processing of payroll for new joiners (accurate data input), employee exits (full and final settlements, leave encashment), and other employee lifecycle events impacting Proven Experience in Payroll Processing: Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end payroll processing, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with payroll software such as Greythr, SAP Payroll, or similar enterprise-level payroll management systems.
- Strong Knowledge of Labor Laws and Tax Regulations: Comprehensive understanding of Indian labor laws, income tax regulations (including TDS), and other statutory compliance requirements related to payroll processing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Payroll Systems: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including formulas, data manipulation, and reporting) and a strong aptitude for utilizing payroll software efficiently and accurately.
- High Attention to Detail and Confidentiality: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality regarding employee salary and personal information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively interact with employees and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of payroll responsibilities.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to work.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Prior experience in handling payroll for a large employee base.
- Familiarity with automated payroll processes and workflows.
- Knowledge of best practices in payroll management and compliance.
- Certification or training in payroll processing and statutory compliance
