Job Profile: Corporate Litigation LawyerLocation: Bandra west MumbaiA Corporate Litigation Lawyer handles legal disputes involving companies, business entities, or commercial matters. Their role blends litigation (courtroom work) with corporate advisory functions.1. Core Responsibilities- Represent companies in courts, tribunals, arbitration forums. - Deal with disputes such as: - Breach of contract - Shareholder disputes - Insolvency & bankruptcy (NCLT matters) - Corporate fraud - Commercial recovery mattersCourt Appearances- Argue cases before: - High Courts - NCLT/NCLAT - Arbitration tribunalsCorporate Advisory- Advise clients on how to avoid litigation or reduce risk exposure. - Interpret companies act, contract laws, IBC, arbitration law, FEMA, SEBI regulations. - Conduct compliance checks and internal investigations when disputes arise.Negotiation & Settlement- Negotiate with opposite parties to reach settlements. - Evaluate litigation risk vs business impact.2. Skills Required- Strong legal research & drafting skills - Understanding of company law, commercial law & regulatory framework - Courtroom advocacy - Negotiation & communication - Analytical thinking & strategy planning - Time management under pressure3. Typical Work Environment- Law firms (corporate litigation teams) - Corporate legal departments - Independent practice - Working with finance, compliance, and business units - Heavy interaction with senior corporate executives, counsels, and auditors.4.
