Project context

Integrate and streamline incident/change management via ServiceNow with the SAP release process managed through SAP Solution Manager. As a pivotal member of the PMO team, the ServiceNow & SAP Release Manager will ensure timely change approvals, effective conflict resolution, and strict quality control across release cycles while driving process improvements and supporting Design Authority preparations.

Project roles and responsibilities

ServiceNow & SAP Integration :

- Oversee incident and change management via ServiceNow to ensure prompt issue resolution.

- Manage the end-to-end SAP change process using SAP Solution Manager, including coordinating release meetings, approving changes, resolving conflicts, and enforcing quality gates (e.g., ensuring UAT/SAT evidences are attached).

Release Planning & Process Enhancement :

- Lead release planning by scheduling meetings, driving process enhancements, and supporting improvements in PMO processes and communications.

- Prepare and support Design Authority activities and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Cross-Platform Reporting & Integration :

- Coordinate report extractions across multiple project support tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, SolMan) to provide a comprehensive view of change and release performance.

- Participate in end-to-end tooling integration initiatives (e.g., KBR maintenance, data replication to HP ALM and SolMan) to enhance overall process visibility.

PMO Communication & Methodology :

- Act as the central communication point within the PMO, supporting onboarding processes and facilitating continuous process improvements.

- Serve as a methodology expert by advocating for best practices and promoting future tool adoption (e.g., BPMN Modular) to evolve PMO operational excellence.

Goals and deliverables :

- Demonstrable hands-on experience with ServiceNow (administration and ITSM processes) and SAP Solution Manager, including managing SAP releases.

- Proven ability to define, implement, and maintain SLAs and quality standards across integrated systems.

- Strong project management and communication skills with experience working with distributed teams spanning India and Europe.

- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a track record of driving continuous improvements in integrated process environments.
