Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Excellence and Controls Lead to drive operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and process optimization within our housing finance company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of process mapping, controls, design, and failure mode analysis. This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless operations, enhancing customer experience, and minimizing operational risks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process Mapping and Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth process mapping and analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop process flow diagrams, swim lane diagrams, and other visual representations to enhance process understanding.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation to streamline operations.
  • Controls Framework:
  • Establish and maintain a robust control framework to mitigate operational risks.
  • Develop and implement key control indicators (KCIs) to monitor process effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular control self-assessments and identify control gaps.
  • Collaborate with risk and compliance functions to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Process Design and Optimization:
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure process consistency.
  • Lead process redesign initiatives to eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA):
  • Conduct FMEA to identify potential process failures and their impact.
  • Develop mitigation plans to address identified risks.
  • Monitor and review FMEA findings to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
  • Change Management:
  • Manage change effectively by communicating process improvements and obtaining stakeholder buy-in.
  • Develop change management plans and provide training to impacted employees.
  • Performance Measurement:
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process performance.
  • Analyze process metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in process excellence and controls, preferably in the housing finance industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exposure to lending industry must.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and modelling tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN).
  • Knowledge of risk management and control frameworks.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
  • Experience with automation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for housing finance companies.
