Job Title: Network and Security Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Network and Security Engineer with hands-on experience in managing and securing network infrastructures. This role requires a candidate with expertise in Palo Alto Networks and Checkpoint firewall products, as well as proficiency in Cisco ASA firewalls and cloud security. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to design, implement, and support network security solutions that meet industry standards and organizational requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


Designing and Architecting Network Security Solutions

  • Develop and implement network security solutions using Palo Alto Networks and Checkpoint firewalls based on client requirements.
  • Design network security configurations, firewall rules, and architecture recommendations tailored to project specifications.

Implementation and Configuration

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, including firewall policies, network address translation (NAT) rules, VPN configurations, and security features to ensure robust network protection.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to firewalls, including connectivity problems, policy conflicts, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Perform log analysis, packet captures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain secure and efficient network operations.

Security Policy Management

  • Manage firewall policies and access control lists (ACLs), aligning them with industry security standards and organizational security needs.
  • Regularly review and update policies to maintain compliance and enforce security best practices.

Monitoring and Alerting

  • Monitor the performance and health of Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls using network monitoring tools.
  • Analyze logs, generate reports, and respond to security alerts or incidents promptly to ensure network integrity.

Security Audits and Compliance

  • Conduct security audits and assessments, including documentation of security controls, vulnerability assessments, and implementation of remediation plans for compliance with industry regulations.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network security configurations, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
  • Provide knowledge-sharing sessions and training to team members to enhance the team’s understanding of Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewall environments.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in network security, including Palo Alto and Checkpoint product updates, emerging threats, and security measures to keep the organization’s network secure.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
  • Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Panorama, Check Point MDS, CMA, and CLM for centralized management

Additional Skills:

  • Cisco ASA firewalls management and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in cloud security
  • Secondary skills in routing and switches

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer, Check Point Certified Security Administrator) are a plus.
