About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at NTT DATA. As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our network solutions to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our network environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior network engineers to design and implement network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and data centre networks.
  • Contribute to network architecture discussions and provide technical input.
  • Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
  • Implement advanced features and protocols to enhance network functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques and tools.
  • Analyse network traffic patterns to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewall rules, access controls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Utilise network monitoring tools to proactively monitor network performance, analyse trends, and take corrective actions to optimise network efficiency and reliability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including detailed network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems administrators, security teams, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to network-related projects, migrations, upgrades, and expansions.
  • Follow project plans, meet deadlines, and provide technical expertise to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay updated with emerging networking technologies, trends, and industry best practices.
  • Pursue relevant certifications and training to enhance networking skills.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, architectures, and services.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and security protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues using analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Project participation experience, including adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in using network administration and configuration tools.
  • Leadership and mentorship skills to guide junior team members.
