Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates unwavering commitment and drive to achieve results. Effectively aligns sourcing strategies with the buying vision and strategy, adapting to evolving market conditions.
• Supports buying activities and guides or executes business plans and activities that contribute to driving business results.
• Manage the sourcing processes to deliver best-in-class products in alignment with the buying requirements
• Develop and drive vendor capacity plans and requirements to deliver products on time and adhere to the TNA calendar
• Assess sampling capacities, decide on final allocations per vendor and ensure on time receipt of samples developed by vendors
• Provide inputs and relevant data points to the vendor assessment tool (time, cost, quality and sell through)
• Skillfully negotiate optimal pricing for merchandise in collaboration with buyers.
• Exhibits entrepreneurial thinking by continuously seeking out new business opportunities.
• Possesses knowledge of vendors and market-specific product opportunities, ensuring the right product is sourced from the right vendors.
• Conducts thorough market evaluations to recommend the best sources for specific products or categories. Actively researches new opportunities based on market trends.
• Fairly and objectively assesses each supplier’s strengths and weaknesses to make well-informed business decisions.
• Ensures timely and efficient communication with all relevant parties, escalating issues when necessary.
• Oversees and visits manufacturers and factories as required. Troubleshoots issues in a timely and accurate manner.
• Understands the complexities of raw materials, manufacturing processes, and product specifications.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum formal education: Graduate degree.
• Strong product and Vendor base knowledge of Footwear/ Bags.
• 10 to 12 years’ solid experience in Apparel, Accessories and Footwear industry of which at least 4-5 years’ experience working with a Liaison office and/or Buying agent of a well-known retailer catering to US/ UK Market.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Willing and able to frequently travel to explore new opportunities
