About the Role As aLead Fullstack Software Engineer , you'll team up with designers, product managers, and cross-functional engineers (including frontend, backend, native, machine learning, and quality specialists) to transform payments experience. The ideal candidate brings excellence in both frontend and backend development, cares deeply about user experience, moves with agility in AI-driven environments, and balances urgency with a commitment to quality. What You'll Accomplish Lead a functional domain in designing cross-data-center, distributed, fault-tolerant, highly available, and high-performance web services and applications.Apply strong software architecture, object-oriented analysis/design, and problem-solving skills.Own key projects and features from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.Estimate engineering efforts, plan and implement system changes, and proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.What You'll Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree with 8-10+ years of professional experience.Hands-on experience building large-scale distributed systems.Strong proficiency inNode.js ,JavaScript ,Java/Scala , and relational/NoSQL databases.Expertise inReact , and backend frameworks.Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns with a proven track record of developing scalable web and RESTful applications.Experience innative development (iOS/Android)and building withGraphQLis highly desirableFamiliarity with AI technologies like workflow design or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is a plus.At eBay, we value diversity of thought, collaborative innovation, and inclusive excellence.
