Associate Manager - Product Analytics | MAF Retail | Digital Analytics


Role Brief

The Associate Manager – Product Analytics is responsible for driving the Product Analytics strategy within Majid Al Futtaim Retail’s digital analytics function along with marketing and media. The role holder leverages advanced analytics to understand customer behavior, identify market trends, and guide strategic product development and optimizations in marketing and media; playing a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making to optimize digital marketing performance and enhance customer experience.


Analytics Experience

  • Proven experience in product analytics or similar roles, with a track record of driving product improvements and marketing & Media improvements.
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable product recommendations.
  • Provide insights on customer behavior, preferences, and segmentation to tailor marketing strategies and messaging for maximum impact.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., digital advertising, email marketing, social media) using advanced attribution models and multi-touchpoint analysis techniques.
  • Measure and optimize marketing metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and return on ad spend (ROAS) to drive continuous improvement in campaign performance.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Good to have experience in machine learning modeling and algorithms


Experimentation & A/B Testing

  • Design and implement A/B tests and experimentation frameworks to measure the impact of product changes.
  • Generate A/B insights, results and drive decisions for new features and programs


Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of product data, including user behavior, customer feedback, and market trends, to identify opportunities for product enhancements and marketing optimizations.
  • Create clear and insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to product teams and stakeholders.


Audit and Reporting

  • Support on the preparation of business presentations and reports related to digital analytics function for various stakeholders, on periodic and ad hoc basis as and when required
  • Perform regular audit of various processes and databases for the digital analytics function in order to identify gaps and risks, and propose corrective actions


Policies and Procedures

  • Review and update the digital analytics function policies and procedures related and ensure it is implemented and reported on as a part of the policies and procedures for the digital analytics function
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of relevant policies and procedures


Coordination and Communication

  • Collaborate and partner with following digital teams to drive respective KPIs and build a data driven culture for Product, Marketing and AdTech
  • Build relationships and maintain strong partnerships with key personnel to help achieve organizational goals
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the digital analytics function


Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management
  • Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles
  • Provide inputs on training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements
  • Develop and implement on the job-training for the team
  • Provide inputs for the development of annual manpower plan
  • Ensure the implementation of MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures


Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, is required
  • Master’s Degree in the same field is preferred



Minimum experience

  • 4+ years of experience in, product analytics, and strategy, and any other digital data-related roles
  • 2+ years in a large-scale operating e-commerce business is preferred

Skills

  • Strong understanding of E-commerce and retail business
  • Capable of aligning data initiatives with overall business strategy, enhancing revenue growth, customer experiences, and operational efficiency
  • Proficiency in clickstream analytics tools and tracking like Google Analytics 360, GA4, Adjust, Braze, etc
  • Good to have knowledge of advanced analytics techniques and ability to integrate analytics outputs with digital product.
  • Proficiency in at least one analytical tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present insights effectively
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing product experiments, A/B tests, and other analytical methodologies to optimize product features, user experience, and conversion rates
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities with proven ability to develop strategic relationships with senior leadership stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to build and manage a high-performing data team
  • Strong ability to influence process owners and prompt a response for the leader/team needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; expertise in converting technical messages into clear messages that outline why change is needed that appeals to key business personas
  • Strong ability to articulate the big picture with or without details and work in ambiguous situations
  • Strong English language skills (Speaking, Reading and Writing) with exceptional business writing
