Job Description

Working knowledge in Scripting and Automation

Responsible for performing daily operational tasks like storage provisioning and maintaining availability at the customer site(s). Provisions storage based on standardized procedures as outlined by EMC best practice documentation.

Should have advanced levels of knowledge with the Fiber Channel Switches and/or IP Networks.

Experience with storage system (s) that are being deployed as well as a comprehensive knowledge of the Operating systems in use.

Work involves storage area networks and network infrastructure in both LAN and WAN settings

Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with customer's change management policies.

Participates in the continual review and improvement of existing operational policies and procedures in compliance with EMC's storage management best practices.

Good knowledge on Enterprise Data Backup activities

Hands-on technical exposure on a recognized backup platform like Commvault, Networker, HP Data Protector, NetBackup, etc. and LTO backups
