Role Overview
We are seeking a Sales Compensation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in administering, maintaining, and optimizing our sales compensation systemsprimarily within the Xactly Incent platform. You will ensure timely, accurate commission processing, maintain compliance, and drive operational efficiency through automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commission Processing & System Administration
- Configure, administer, and maintain the Xactly Incent platform including setup of compensation plans, rules, quotas, and payout logic.
- Calculate and process monthly and quarterly commissions in alignment with approved sales compensation plans.
- Reconcile sales data across Salesforce CRM, ERP, and Xactly to ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshoot system and data anomalies, and proactively resolve issues to avoid downstream impact on reporting or payouts.
- Implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
2. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate compensation plan configurations and employee records within Xactly.
- Develop, distribute, and maintain timely commission statements, audit logs, and compensation dashboards for leadership and sales teams.
- Create ad-hoc and recurring analytical reports to support business strategy, sales operations, and executive decision-making.
3. Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with audit standards and internal controls relating to incentive compensation and data governance.
- Support annual compensation planning including modeling, simulations, and testing of new plans in Xactly.
- Identify gaps and drive automation or process enhancements leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Stay current with Xactly system updates and recommend value-adding functionalities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in Xactly Incent: Proven hands-on experience configuring and managing Xactly Incent; certification is a plus.
- Sales Compensation Expertise: Deep understanding of sales incentive structures, quota management, and variable pay practices.
- Data & Analytics: Strong proficiency in Excel, Salesforce, and reporting tools; ability to extract insights from data.
- Process & Quality Orientation: Demonstrated ability to optimize and scale compensation operations using structured methodologies.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across HR, Sales Ops, IT, and Finance.
