Job Description: As an Identity & Access Management Advisory Consultant within the “IAM Strategy Consulting & Advisory Services” team at HCLTech, you will work closely with our clients to participate in maturity assessment of their existing IAM environment, identify business and security requirements, and work under the guidance of senior team members to enhance the client’s IAM landscape, and overall security posture.

No two IAM Consulting engagements are alike, and we encourage our team to work on a variety of challenging, and complex projects that include new & upcoming trends across every aspect of IAM domain. Your expertise will be essential in driving successful IAM Consulting & Advisory engagements and you will play a critical role in building strong stakeholder relationships for overall business growth

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work as a strategic solution advisor to the client, undertaking consultancy and advisory work on all aspects related to IAM and delivery them.
• Plan workshops & lead discussions to collaborate with client stakeholders for understanding & documenting their IAM related business, functional & security requirements and, define IAM objectives & priorities.
• Discover, Assess, and Analyze existing IAM capabilities, processes, systems, documentation and workflows through interviews and workshops with client staff performing IAM related duties.
• Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems, use findings from the current IAM environment & knowledge of industry trends to identify gaps and areas for improvement, benchmark against standard capabilities, identify risks, provide mitigation recommendations, and calculate maturity score.
• Articulate business risks of governing digital identities and provide input & recommendations to the clients on their overall expectations and approach for IAM.
• Define the long-term IAM vision and strategy in alignment with the client’s business goals, IT strategy, regulatory standards, assessment findings and current trends.
• Define end-state, prepare end-state reference architecture & design, define target operating model, governance structure, estimates, business case, operating processes and people models to address current and evolving IAM requirements.
• Re-design / update processes related to IAM (e.g., identity lifecycle management, access request, privilege audit), and make recommendations for client’s policies & standards that align with leading best practices and keeping in view the regulatory risk & compliance requirements.
• Innovate & create cutting-edge modern IAM solutions and define high-level technical solution designs covering all aspects of IAM across the enterprise.
• Conceptualize and design access control & SoD models, associated role modeling, identity based Zero-Trust frameworks, Least Privilege model, etc.
• Prepare assessment reports, presentations, and other deliverables within the scope of IAM consulting & advisory assignments for the client. Follow-up with client after submission of all deliverables to ensure client satisfaction.
• Create business justification and ROI documentation as needed to support client stakeholders with budgeting and assist them in making informed decisions regarding IAM investments & implementations.
• Stay updated on IAM relevant industry trends, emerging technologies, and security best practices and provide expert guidance to clients on the same.
• Leverage domain & business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and approaches to address gaps and meet client requirements.
• Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels by establishing trust with the key stakeholders and becoming their trusted advisor for IAM related services.
• Ensure quality of all deliverables, monitor progress, manage risk, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
• Contribute to & support the development of frameworks, new service offerings and other intellectual property for use in future engagements and to drive business growth.
• Coordinate with other cybersecurity architects and subject matter experts as well as technology partners to design & deliver innovative solutions and create business opportunities.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate leads within new & existing client engagements and collaborate with sales to develop & present proposals.
• Support business development activities such as presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and proof of concept

Must have Qualifications, Skills, Industry and Domain Experience:

• Master’s / Bachelor’s degree, preferably in one of the following areas: Information Security, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, and/or other related majors.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IAM consulting & advisory.
• Practical experience with conducting maturity and risk assessments relevant to IAM. • Has a good understanding of IAM protocols & standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), capabilities of IAM products, and prevailing relevant technology trends.
• Demonstrated in-depth technical capabilities, and professional knowledge in IAM domain with design and / or implementation experience in one or more IAM areas like user lifecycle management, directory services, multi-factor authentication, access management, segregation of duties, privileged access management, Logical Access Controls, LDAP and RBAC, Authentication solutions, PKI concepts, etc.
• Experienced with large IAM programs including executing strategic projects involving current state assessment, developing IAM strategy, end state blueprint and roadmap. • Have intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness to question existing systems, business models, and processes and devise innovative solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the capability to take ambiguous complexities and deliver creative and well-structured solutions.
• Deep analytical skills and ability to formulate data-driven recommendations while utilizing large amounts of data and other types of information from multiple sources to complete analysis of a business problem.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder alignment, relationship building with proven ability to facilitate discussions and align business & security requirements and establish & manage trusted relationships with senior business leaders.
• High attention to quality and detail with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent documentation skills with ability to present information in compelling and creative ways (story telling through data, insights, metrics, effective slides) to present and defend points of view to business leaders and team members.
• Experienced in working independently or as part of a large team to delivery Cyber services on its own or within large complex projects with professionals at all levels.
• Driven, self-starter, and self-motivated with a passion for excellence.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure, manage ambiguity, prioritize shifting workloads, meet deadlines, and work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 10-30% of the time.

Nice to have Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in one or more IAM solutions from vendors such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Microsoft, ForgeRock, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, etc.
• Professional cybersecurity relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, SABSA, TOGAF, CIPT, CIPM, CRISC, etc.
• Product certifications from IAM Vendors like SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, etc.
• Knowledge of new developments in IAM advisory services capabilities & trends in the industry
