Responsibilities:

  • Execute trades in equities and equity derivatives markets on behalf of clients or the firm, following established trading strategies and risk parameters.
  • Monitor market conditions, economic news, and company developments to identify trading opportunities and risks.
  • Analyze market trends, technical indicators, and trading patterns to inform trading decisions and optimize trade execution.
  • Manage trade orders, including order routing, order types, and execution algorithms, to achieve best execution and minimize market impact.
  • Maintain trading records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Communicate with clients, counterparties, and trading desks to facilitate trade execution and resolve trading-related issues.
  • Monitor and manage risk exposures, including market risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk, implementing risk mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Stay updated on market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to inform trading strategies and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an equity trader or proprietary trader, demonstrating a strong track record of trading success.
  • In-depth knowledge of equities markets, trading mechanics, and order execution strategies.
  • Familiarity with equity trading platforms, execution algorithms, and trading tools.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, capable of analyzing market data and trends.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, adept at thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to equity trading.
