Job Description :

The Pega Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Pega-based applications to meet the business needs of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience in Pega development, with a strong understanding of Pega Platform capabilities and best practices.

This role requires hands-on experience in designing and configuring Pega applications, as well as a solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Design and Development :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Pega-based solutions.

- Design and develop Pega applications using Pega Platform features such as case management, decisioning, and user interface development.

- Configure application components including case types, data models, process flows, UI forms, and integration points.

- Implement business logic using Pega rules such as activities, data transforms, decision tables, and declarative rules.

System Integration and Data Management :

- Integrate Pega applications with external systems using Pega Connectors, SOAP/REST services, and other integration mechanisms.

- Design and implement data models and data mappings to ensure seamless data exchange between Pega and external systems.

- Develop data migration strategies and scripts to migrate data from legacy systems into Pega applications.

Testing and Quality Assurance :

- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of Pega applications.

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to validate application functionality and performance.

- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Performance Optimization and Scalability:

- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize Pega applications for improved performance and scalability.

- Monitor system performance metrics and implement optimizations to enhance application responsiveness and throughput.

- Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of Pega applications in production environments.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing :

- Document technical designs, implementation details, and configuration settings for Pega applications.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.

- Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives such as internal trainings, brown bag sessions, and technical forums.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

- 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Pega development, with proficiency in Pega Platform version 7.x or higher.

- Pega certification such as Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) is required.

- Strong understanding of Pega application design and development principles, including case management, data modeling, and integration.

- Experience with Pega Guardrails and best practices for application design, performance optimization, and code reuse.

- Proficiency in software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
