Description : Our client is an IT start-up and they need to fill the following position asap.Position : Platform Engineering Manager - DevOps/ Cloud EnggEducation : B. Tech/ BE/ MCAExperience : 8+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.Compensation : Competitive and commensurate with candidate caliber and experienceRole Responsibilities and Desired Profile : About the Role : Our client is seeking a skilled DevOps Manager to join their team and drive the automation, scalability, and security of our cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in DevOps practices, deep hands-on experience with AWS, and a thorough understanding of IT security as it applies to DevOps and cloud infrastructure.Key Responsibilities : - Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support agile development practices.- Administer, monitor, and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).- Define and enforce security best practices across development and deployment environments.- Automate infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.- Monitor systems performance, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot issues.- Collaborate with developers, QA, and security teams to ensure safe and secure deployments.- Implement security controls such as least privilege, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance monitoring.- Conduct risk assessments and recommend enhancements to improve overall DevOps security posture.- Stay current with AWS updates and security trends to proactively enhance systems.Required Qualifications : - B/Tech/BE/MCA- 8+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.- Strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure management.- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or similar.- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools : Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.- Solid understanding of IT security principles, especially in DevOps environments (e.g., IAM, secrets management, network security, vulnerability management).- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.- Familiarity with log aggregation, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog).Preferred Qualifications : - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).- Background in software development or SRE.- Experience with GitOps practices.Why Join our client ? : - Work on cutting-edge cloud infrastructure projects.- Help shape a secure and scalable DevOps culture.- Competitive salary and benefits.- Flexible working arrangements and a collaborative team environment (ref:hirist.tech)
