Role Overview:


Merchandiser is the BRIDGE between the industry and the buyer. He has to look after every job like buying the raw material, which is required to finish the product, making the garment, finishing the garment, documentation, finally shipping. He is the responsible person to make the product.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Enabling Internal and External Communication: Maintain strong relationships with buyers and suppliers while ensuring seamless internal communication for smooth business operations.
  • Understanding Product Properties: Gain in-depth knowledge of the product’s primary and secondary characteristics, including color, material type, luster, and density.
  • Sampling: Oversee the sampling process, ensuring products meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
  • Preparing Internal Order Sheets: Anticipate and meet the production department's raw material needs by preparing and placing orders in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring Quality: Assist the quality department by monitoring incoming raw materials and advising on quality standards, considering production costs and profit margins.
  • Preparing Purchase Orders: Understand buyer preferences, particularly those of foreign buyers, and prepare purchase orders that align with their tastes and requirements.
  • Advising and Assisting Production: Act as a mediator between the buyer and the production department, advising on consumer needs to ensure products meet expectations.
  • Supervising Documentation, Banking, and Shipping: Ensure that all documentation is accurate, payments and receipts are processed regularly, and that shipping schedules are properly managed.


Qualifications:


  • 1-2 years of experience in a merchandising role within the garment industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Presentable with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
