Job Title: ETL Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, including data extraction, data transformation, and data loading. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of ETL processes, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test ETL processes, including data extraction, data transformation, and data loading, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate ETL processes.
  • Identify defects and issues in ETL processes, including data discrepancies, data inconsistencies, and system errors.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and issues, including providing detailed test results and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain test data, including test data sets, test data scripts, and test data validation.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of ETL processes, including data mapping, data transformation, and data loading.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ETL technologies, including new features, releases, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in ETL testing, with a strong focus on data extraction, data transformation, and data loading.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
  • Experience with ETL tools, including Informatica PowerCenter, IBM InfoSphere DataStage, and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including black box testing, white box testing, and gray box testing.
  • Experience with testing frameworks, including TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, including Azure and AWS.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, including Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts, including neural networks and deep learning.
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices and threat modeling.
