Job Description :


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Node.js Lead Engineer to join our dynamic development team. As a Node.js Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of our Node.js applications. You should have a strong background in Node.js development, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a team of Node.js developers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.

- Own & build new modules/features end-to-end independently.

- Hands-on development of scalable, high-performance Node.js applications.

- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Ensure the quality and performance of code through automated testing and code reviews.

- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

- Work in an agile environment to rapidly build high-quality and robust features.

- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Required Skills and Knowledge :

- Expertise in Node.js and server-side JavaScript development.

- Experience with frameworks such as Express.js.

- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

- Strong database skills, preferably with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.

- Can learn and adapt fast, as well as identify and solve problems.

- Proven experience as a Node.js developer with a minimum of 4+ years of hands-on development experience.

- Previous experience in a leadership or lead engineering role.

- Strong understanding of software development life cycle, best practices, and agile methodologies.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
