Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Kdb+ Developer with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team at Solytics Partners.
As a Kdb+ Developer, you will be critical in designing, implementing, and optimizing high-performance data solutions for our trading, risk management, and financial analysis needs.
Your expertise in Kdb+, q programming, and real-time data processing will be essential in supporting our data-intensive applications and driving strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Database Development & Management :
- Design, implement, and maintain Kdb+ databases and data models for high-frequency trading and financial analytics applications.
- Develop and optimize schemas and tables to efficiently handle large volumes of time-series data.
Query Development & Optimization :
- Write and optimize complex queries using the q language to extract and analyze data.
- Develop performance tuning strategies to ensure low-latency access and efficient data processing.
Data Integration & Processing :
- Integrate Kdb+ with other data sources and systems, including trading platforms, market data feeds, and analytics tools.
- Implement and manage real-time and batch data ingestion processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Application Development :
- Develop and maintain applications and tools that leverage Kdb+ for data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting :
- Monitor the performance of Kdb+ databases and queries, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing, query execution, and system integration.
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in Kdb+ and q programming language for querying and data manipulation.
- Strong experience with time-series data analysis and handling high-frequency trading data.
- Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization in Kdb+ environments.
- Familiarity with data integration, real-time data processing, and batch data ingestion.
- Experience with financial data analytics and trading systems is highly desirable.
