Employment Type:Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are seeking ahighly skilled and motivated VoIP Engineerwith deep expertise in theFreeSWITCH open-source communication platform. In this role, you willdesign, develop, deploy, and maintainour Voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in ensuring thehigh availability, scalability, and performanceof our telephony systems, buildingcustom call flows, and integratingthird-party APIs and services.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manageVoIP solutions using FreeSWITCH, ensuring reliability, availability, and security. Configure and optimizedial plans, call queues, IVRs, and call-handling logic. Troubleshoot and resolve complex VoIP issues (e.g., call quality, routing, signaling) usingWireshark, sngrep, tcpdump, etc. Developcustom modules and applicationsinLua, Python, C/C++, or JavaScript. Integrate FreeSWITCH withCRMs, databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and RESTful APIs. Monitor and maintain system performance with tools likePrometheus, Grafana, and syslog. Implementsecurity best practices—firewall configuration, TLS encryption, and anti-fraud measures. Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and support teams to deliver robust communication solutions. Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting. Stay current withVoIP and real-time communication trendsand technologies.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree inComputer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as aVoIP Engineer / Telecommunications Engineer. Deep expertise inFreeSWITCH, including XML/Lua dial plans and module configuration. Strong knowledge ofSIP, RTP, WebRTCprotocols. Proficiency inLinux system administration(Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS). Experience withLua, Python, or Perlfor call flow logic and automation. Solid understanding ofTCP/IP, UDP, DNS, NAT traversal, QoS. Proficiency withWireshark, sngrep, tcpdumpfor troubleshooting. Familiarity withMySQL/PostgreSQLintegration. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)Experience deploying FreeSWITCH incloud environments(AWS, Azure, GCP). Background incall center or service providersettings. Knowledge ofVoIP security frameworkssuch asSTIR/SHAKEN. Experience withautomated testing for VoIP systems(e.g., SIPp).
