Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer /  Sr. Data Engineer  with strong expertise in ETL development, Python programming, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , and Ascend.io . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and supporting our cloud-based analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Ascend.io , GCP native services, and Python.

  • Build reusable, optimized, and scalable data workflows to support analytics and business intelligence teams.

  • Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and architects to ensure seamless data integration across platforms.

  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance throughout the pipeline lifecycle.

  • Perform root cause analysis on data issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3.5 to 6 years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL Development .

  • Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – especially BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage.

  • Proven experience with Ascend.io for building declarative pipelines and orchestration.

  • Strong programming experience in Python for data transformation, scripting, and automation.

  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.

  • Experience with data governance, quality checks, and performance tuning of data systems.

  • Familiarity with Git , CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development environments.
