Profile Overview :

As a seasoned Red Hat Linux Administrator with 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience, I excel in managing and optimizing RHEL 7/8 environments. My role involves ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Linux-based systems across various business-critical applications. I am adept at handling complex troubleshooting, system monitoring, and server management, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.

Key Skills & Expertise :

- RHEL 7/8 Administration : Proficient in administering and managing Red Hat Linux systems, ensuring robust performance and security.

- File System & NFS Troubleshooting : Expertise in resolving file system issues, managing network file systems, and configuring permissions.

- System Monitoring & Health Checks : Skilled in monitoring system health, performance metrics, and proactively addressing potential issues.

- OS Patching & Vulnerability Management : Experienced in applying OS patches, performing upgrades, and mitigating security vulnerabilities.

- Multipathing & Network Configuration : Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting multipath I/O, teaming, and bonding for enhanced network redundancy and performance.

- Server Lifecycle Management : Competent in server builds, decommissioning, and handling hardware break-fix for platforms like CISCO UCS and HP.

- Firmware Upgrades : Experienced in planning and executing firmware upgrades to maintain system reliability and performance.

Core Responsibilities :


- System Administration : Manage the day-to-day operations of RHEL 7/8 systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.


- Troubleshooting & Support : Diagnose and resolve complex system issues related to file systems, networking, and hardware components.

- Performance Monitoring : Conduct regular system health checks, performance monitoring, and resource utilization assessments.

- Patch Management : Implement OS patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation to maintain system security and compliance.

- Network Management : Configure and manage multipathing, teaming, and bonding to support network redundancy and throughput.

- Server Management : Oversee the entire lifecycle of servers, from initial build to decommissioning, including handling hardware repairs and firmware updates.

- Collaboration & Documentation : Work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational needs and document key processes and configurations.
