Designation: Head of Finance & Accounts

Location: Pune

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven finance leader to head our Finance & Accounts

department. The Head of Finance & Accounts will be responsible for overseeing all financial

operations, ensuring strategic financial management, driving operational efficiencies, and ensuring

statutory compliance. This senior leadership role requires a combination of strong technical

expertise, strategic thinking, and team management capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring a

proven track record in financial leadership within a growing organization, a robust understanding of accounting principles, and a forward-thinking approach to supporting the organization's business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Reporting:

o Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of timely and accurate financial

statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

o Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory frameworks

while maintaining high-quality financial reporting.

o Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure

liquidity and financial health.

o Drive strategic financial decision-making through comprehensive financial modelling,

scenario analysis, and variance analysis.

2. Strategic Planning & Analysis:

o Partner with senior leadership to develop and refine financial strategies that align

with the organization's growth trajectory and long-term objectives.

o Lead the financial analysis of business performance, providing actionable insights to

guide strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

o Support new business initiatives through detailed financial analysis and scenario

planning.

3. Compliance, Governance & Audit:

o Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST,

TDS, Income Tax, and other tax filings, while keeping abreast of changes in the

regulatory environment.

o Oversee the coordination and execution of annual audits, acting as the primary

point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.

o Maintain a robust internal control framework to mitigate risks and safeguard

company assets, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

4. Process Improvement & Systems Integration:

o Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function,

with a focus on automation, system optimization, and process standardization.

o Drive the adoption of best practices in financial systems, reporting tools, and

internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

5. Treasury & Risk Management:

o Oversee treasury functions including cash flow management, working capital

optimization, and capital structure planning.

o Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing insights into hedging strategies,

insurance, and risk mitigation.

6. Stakeholder Management:

o Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g.,

banks, auditors, tax authorities) to ensure seamless financial operations.

o Prepare presentations and reports for the Board of Directors, providing updates on

financial health, strategic initiatives, and risk management.

7. Leadership & Team Management:

o Lead, mentor, and build a high-performance finance team by fostering a culture of

continuous learning and professional growth.

o Ensure effective resource management by delegating tasks, setting clear objectives,

and ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) with a strong foundation in financial accounting and management.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounts, ideally with experience in mid- to-large-scale organizations within the service industry or fast-paced growth environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax). Proficiency in Tally and ERP systems
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both senior management and external stakeholders. Strong presentation skills are essential.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Proven problem-solving abilities and the ability to thrive in adynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel & Data Analytics: Expertise in data-driven decision-making tools and advanced Excel functions (macros, pivot tables, etc.) is desirable.
