Textile Application Specialist

1.     Job Description:    Responsible for development of applications of products in the field and assist in formulation of new products in lab. Minimum 7+ years with textile auxiliary industry/Application R&D/Textile mill technical department.


2.    Job Responsibilities & Duties:


a. Experience in handling various textile processing including Pretreatment, dying, soaping, finishing.

b.    Collaborating with business development team to run field trials for new launch products. Conducting performance gap analysis between lab & field. 

c.   Conducting troubleshooting analysis for running products in market and providing inputs for recipe corrections if any.

d.    Data assessment for routine lab trials & field trials.

e.   Preparing conclusive reports for new product applications conducted in lab, at filed trials, & new application recipes with combination products at customer sites.

f.   Presenting data to management team with feedback and solutions for improvement.

g.     Visiting mills for application assessment and troubleshooting.

h.   Leading a team of textile application lab for product studies across various stages of fabric processing.

i.   Planning for daily activities for the lab team

j.     Guiding team on application method developments for new product categories.

k.     Establishing products for their performance.

l.   Identifying product performance gap & providing inputs to R&D team for improving the product. 


3.    Job requirements:


A successful candidate will have:

a.    Qualification: Ph.D/ME/M. Tech in Textile Chemistry / Fashion technology from a reputed institute or related degree

b.    Thorough knowledge of textile processing, recipes, applications & machine.

c.   Thorough understanding and experience in handling various chemicals used in textile processing.

d.     Good communication skills including writing & verbal.

e.   A good teamwork skill in fast paced & challenging environment.

f.   A sincere attitude & commitment towards job responsibilities.
