Description :We are looking for a strong Python Backend Engineer with deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous workflows.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, reliable backend systems while maintaining a focus on testing, observability, and compliance.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.- Build and manage distributed systems and microservices architectures.- Implement asynchronous workflows using tools like Celery.- Manage databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL efficiently with a strong understanding of data contracts and idempotency.- Integrate with Kafka or similar event-streaming systems.- Implement comprehensive test architectures using PyTest, Hypothesis, and Locust.- Enhance system reliability and observability through metrics, tracing, and logging.- Work with Kubernetes, containerized CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).- Manage security aspects including OAuth2, TLS certificate management, and secure service communications.- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards such as HITRUST, HIPAA, and FDA 510(k).- Generate evidence for compliance audits and maintain robust documentation.Required Skills :- Strong proficiency in Python with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, and Django.- Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and async programming.- Solid experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Kafka, and Celery.- Strong understanding of test-driven development and tools (PyTest, Hypothesis, Locust).- Familiar with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.- Experience with cloud environments AWS, Azure, or GCP.- Knowledge of OAuth2, TLS, and secure communication protocols.- Understanding of compliance frameworks (HITRUST, HIPAA, FDA).Preferred Qualifications :- Experience with HL7 or FHIR interfaces message parsing, composition, and secure data exchange in healthcare environments.- Strong systems mindset treating testing, automation, and monitoring as first-class concerns.- Pragmatic, collaborative, and effective across the full technology stack (ref:hirist.tech)
