Position: Mechanical EngineerLocation: Remote — must maintain at least 3 hours daily overlap with U.S. Eastern Time (GMT-4/-5)Type: ContractAbout the CompanyBridge Business Support Services is leading the delivery of a cutting-edge, FDA-cGMP artemisinin manufacturing line -combining continuous photochemistry, crystallization, and solvent recovery at industrial scale.Responsibilities:- Perform equipment sizing and specification (reactors, crystallizers, heat exchangers, filters, dryers, tanks, etc.). - Prepare mechanical datasheets and review vendor drawings for compliance. - Support development of equipment layout drawings, tie-in points, and utility connections. - Collaborate with process and instrumentation engineers to ensure integrated design solutions. - Evaluate vendor quotations and support procurement in technical bid analysis. - Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and assist during installation & commissioning phases. - Ensure all mechanical designs and documents are aligned with cGMP, ASME, API, and US FDA requirements. - Provide inputs for maintenance, safety, and reliability considerations in equipment design.Qualifications & Skills:- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. - 5–7 years’ experience in pharma/chemical plant design or EPC projects. - Strong knowledge of ASME codes, API standards, piping & pressure vessel design. - Experience in vendor coordination, procurement support, and documentation. - Familiarity with cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11/210/211 requirements for regulated markets preferred. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, mechanical design tools, and MS Office.What We Offer- Salary paid in USD - Remote work flexibility - Performance-based bonuses and growth opportunities - Collaborative, startup-style work environment - Access to learning, tools, and mentorship to boost your career
