Role Summary: Manager /Sr. Manager– IT procurements

Responsible for leading and managing procurement activities related to IT hardware, software, services, and infrastructure. This role ensures that the organization acquires technology assets and services at optimal cost, quality, and delivery timelines while maintaining compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Procurement

Ensure IT procurements aligned with organizational technology goals and budgets.

Collaborate with IT leadership to forecast technology requirements and plan procurement accordingly.

2. Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and manage IT vendors and suppliers, including hardware manufacturers, software providers, and service consultants.

Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key IT suppliers to ensure cost-eHective and reliable service and for Continues improvement.

Conduct vendor assessments, negotiations, and contract renewals.

3. Procurement Operations

Oversee the procurement of IT products and services, including hardware, software licenses, cloud services, network solutions, and maintenance agreements.

Manage the lifecycle of technology assets, including procurement, deployment, and disposal.

Optimize procurement processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and compliance.

4. Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies, IT governance frameworks, and legal requirements.

Mitigate risks related to IT procurement, such as data security, vendor lock-in, and service disruptions.

5. Cost Management and Optimization

Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to achieve cost savings without compromising service quality.

Monitor IT procurement budgets and provide regular updates to senior management.

6. Reporting and Analytics

Utilize procurement data and analytics to track IT spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and measure supplier performance.

Provide detailed reports to IT and executive leadership on procurement activities and outcomes.

Qualications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related eld (Master’s preferred).

7-8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on IT procurement for at least 3 years.

Deep understanding of IT products and services, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, and managed services.

Prociency in procurement software and IT tools Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Competencies:

Expertise in IT procurement lifecycle management. Strategic thinking and the ability to align IT procurement with organizational goals. Knowledge of licensing models, IT contracts, and vendor management. Ability to manage and lead a team eHectively. Strong understanding of market trends in technology procurement.
