Senior Sales Consultant – Technical Sales (Capital Goods / Industrial Machinery)
Location: Salem, Tamil Nadu
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Sales Consultant to lead business development efforts in the field of industrial machinery and customized equipment solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven ability to build client relationships, understand industrial processes, and deliver tailored machinery solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities for industrial machinery and customized project solutions in assigned territories.
Engage with clients to understand their technical and operational needs and recommend suitable equipment or process solutions.
Prepare and present technical-commercial proposals, quotations, and layout drawings when required.
Follow up on leads, tenders, and proposals throughout the entire sales cycle until successful order closure.
Collaborate with internal design and production teams to ensure timely project execution and customer satisfaction.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers for repeat business and referrals.
Achieve assigned sales targets and provide regular reports to management.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MBA in Sales & Marketing is an advantage.
Experience: 2–6 years in capital goods, industrial machinery, or material handling equipment sales.
Strong understanding of technical drawings, process layouts, and equipment specifications.
Excellent skills in consultative selling, negotiation, and client communication.
Willingness to travel frequently within assigned regions.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing long and complex sales cycles.
