Head - Manufacturing - Petroleum/Oil/Solvent Extraction Sector

- Responsible for leading and overseeing the entire manufacturing operations across multiple plants and the central packing division.

- This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless production, adherence to quality standards, and achievement of sales volume targets. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership to Plant Heads and Engineering teams, driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and sustainable growth.

- Candidates meeting below exp/qualification criteria, preferably natives of Kerala

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

- Lead, manage, and provide strategic direction to Plant Heads across multiple locations and the Packing Division.

- Ensure production schedules align with sales volume targets and customer requirements.

- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and best-in-class practices.

Production & Engineering:

- Oversee all production-related activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with quality standards.

- Collaborate with the Engineering team to resolve technical issues and enhance plant performance.

- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Business Performance:

- Align operational strategy with overall business goals to achieve financial and market objectives.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across plants and initiate corrective actions when necessary.

- Implement cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or safety.

People Management:

- Mentor and develop Plant Heads and functional managers to build a high-performance culture.

- Foster teamwork, accountability, and professional development across all operational units.

- Ensure alignment of cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Operational Excellence & ESG:

- Champion operational excellence initiatives across all plants, focusing on continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process efficiency.

- Drive ESG initiatives at the plant level, ensuring environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, responsible waste management, and water conservation.

- Ensure social and governance practices align with company policies and regulatory standards, fostering safe workplaces, ethical practices, and community engagement.

- Establish measurable ESG and operational excellence KPIs and ensure regular monitoring and reporting.

Compliance & Safety:

- Promote a strong safety-first culture across all plants.

- Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, quality, and environmental standards.

- Anticipate risks and implement robust systems to mitigate operational and ESG-related issues.

Key Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Engineering + Master's in Operations/Management preferred

Experience: Minimum 18 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Strong track record in multi-plant operations management, production planning, and engineering.

- Proven ability to lead large teams across geographies.

- Expertise in operational excellence, lean manufacturing, and process improvements.

- Strong business acumen with the ability to link operations with overall business objectives.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Achievement of sales volume through timely production.

- Reduction in production downtime and operational costs.

- Improvement in overall equipment efficiency (OEE).

- Compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
