Job Title: Chief Manager - Procurement

Function: Procurement

Experience: 8 - 12 Years

Location: Gurugram


Key Deliverables (Essential functions & Responsibilities of the Job):

  • The person would be responsible for indirect procurement for M&S India. These include but not limited to Capex (Stores Build), IT, Marketing, Logistics, HR, Travel, Retail Operations, Store Maintenances.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure the best quality products and services.
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships.
  • Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and work with them to prioritize opportunities and challenges.
  • Communicates with Employees / Department heads / Vendors and assists in resolution of any open issues pro-actively.
  • Agree on a feedback mechanism with operations team to monitor supplier's progress and quality based on a feedback received for services provided by supplier
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and company standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that arise.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring procurement activities align with financial goals.
  • Streamline procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Implement best practices and technology solutions to improve procurement operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
