Today, our operations include multiple state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across India, a global footprint through subsidiaries in Europe and the Americas, and a diverse, dedicated workforce of over 3,000 professionals.Role Description:Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Manager for the Aerospace & Defence Composites space to lead mission-critical composite manufacturing programs for global clients. This role is pivotal for driving project success and ensuring seamless integration across multiple critical business functions, including Quality, Operations, Customer Programs, and Customer Support. The role demands a strong technical foundation in composites, deep familiarity with A&D manufacturing environments, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple sites.Qualifications:●Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or Materials preferred) or a related technical field. A PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.●Experience: Minimum of 7years of experience in project management, operations, and quality within the Aerospace or Defence manufacturing industry●Quality Systems: Proven working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent A&D quality standards●Customer Exposure: Demonstrable experience managing projects & relationships with both Indian (eg, DRDO, HAL) and US-based (eg, Defence prime contractors) customersKey Responsibilities:●Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end execution of A&D composite programs, from customer engagement and prototype development to contract award, production, and delivery. Ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and technical specifications for both Indian and U.S. clients. Ensure all project documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and certification records, fully meets customer and regulatory requirements.●Quality & Compliance: Oversee implementation of AS9100 and other A&D quality systems; ensure compliance with customer requirements and export control regulations (ITAR, EAR, SCOM) while driving continuous improvement through process control and non-conformance management.●Operations Coordination: Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to optimise production flow, remove bottlenecks, and meet production milestones and delivery commitments with efficiency and cost-effectiveness.●Customer Interface & Support: Establish and maintain an effective customer support process to effectively address technical queries and receive product performance feedback. Additionally, serve as the primary liaison for post-delivery support, including field service, warranty handling, and performance feedback resolution.Skills & Competencies:●Exceptional Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills in English, suitable for high-level customers and executive interaction●Risk Management: Strong ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, and financial risks in complex A&D projects.●Cross-functional Leadership: Ability to lead & motivate cross-functional teams, without direct reporting authority●Problem Solving: Decisive and analytical approach to resolving project and technical challenges, especially related to manufacturing defects or delivery issues.Please emailrecruitment@vegaauto.com
