Role OverviewWe are looking for a Quant Developer / Systems Architect to join the founding team at IX7 Research. You will play a central role in designing and implementing the firm’s trading and research infrastructure — from the backtesting framework to real-time execution systems.This role is ideal for Enterprising Builders, who thrive in technically demanding environments, and wish to see their work translate directly into live systems and measurable results.ResponsibilitiesBuild and optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.Implement asynchronous programming and handle real-time data flows with WebSockets.Design both low-level (LLD) and high-level (HLD) system architecture.Write clean, maintainable code in Python (or C++).Develop APIs (FastAPI optional) and manage data servers.Collaborate with frontend teams (Next.js) for data visualization and interfaces.Manage version control using Git and work with Node.js where needed.Integrate and test trading strategies with the quant research team.RequirementsStrong programming skills in Python or C++ (must-have).Solid understanding of backend architecture, async programming, and data systems.Experience in (or interest in) quantitative systems, trading tech, or financial data.Detail-oriented, analytical, and enterprising.Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Experience with high-performance, scalable backend systems is a bonus.
