- Lead the design review and verification of substation layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment sizing, and protection schemes. - Review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications from EPC contractors or consultants. - Participate in tendering activities, including preparation of technical scopes, BOQs, cost estimates, and bid documents. - Ensure all designs comply with national and international codes, standards, and client requirements. - Evaluate equipment datasheets, vendor drawings, and technical submittals. - Support project managers in technical clarifications, scope finalization, and contract review. - Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, design review reports, and correspondence with clients and stakeholders. - Mentor and guide junior engineers in substation design, standards, and best practices. - Provide input for project planning, cost optimization, and value engineering. - Ensure coordination between civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for seamless project execution. - Ensure adherence to the HSE roles, responsibilities & accountabilities as defined in MS-0047700-HSE Roles Responsibilities & Authorities. - Comply and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.Preferred Attributes:- Experience in high-voltage and utility-scale substations (GIS/AIS of Voltage level 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, 765KV)- - Exposure to renewable energy interfacing substations (solar/wind) and Grid Substations (GIS/AIS) - Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers. - Strong communication and client interfacing skills. - Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to design quality and compliance.
